Blinken to China next week - Politico scooped that US Secretary of State Blinken will visit the PRC starting April 23. The PRC has not publicly confirmed the dates. Mike Johnson, US Speaker of the House, said last night in comments to the press, when explaining why he had decided to risk his speakership to bring the foreign aid bill to a vote Saturday, that “I think providing lethal aid to Ukraine right now is critically important. I really do. I really do believe the intel and the briefings that we’ve gotten. I believe Xi, Vladimir Putin and Iran really are an axis of evil. I think they’re in coordination on it.” That is quite a loaded statement, and makes one wonder what is in the intel briefings.
