I ordered a copy of "Red Roulette" just now. It may be a good companion volume to the very slender book, "The Rise and Fall of The House of Bo." I heard the author speak at a Beijing International Society event, I think it was, at the time the book was released. It includes some interesting insights into the bloody history of Beijing No. 4 during the Cultural Revolution. I wonder if "Red Roulette" makes any mention of Keystone Academy in Beijing, as apparently Wen Jiabao's nephew is, or has been, the primary financer of that endeavor. At least this was rumor on the street as the school was coming online. Will there ever be a series akin to "The Dream of Red Mansions" about the CCP? It would be entertaining, in its own dark way.
So the street talk was accurate. I thought so, but wasn't sure. And I never knew the nephew's name. Thank you for this. I look forward to reading this account.
