I am totally confused. 25% tariff on $50 Billion in goods which would imply that there is a $12.5 billion payment going somewhere. I have yet to see, or yet to find, how the $50 billion is calculated as applied to the 25%. Raw products like steel, seem pretty simple, but manufactured products are either simple or not.

Let's use a Chengdu produced iPad which will likely be "tariffed" at some point. Where is the value for tariff purposes calculated and on what percentage of the total value of the iPad is subject to tariffs? Obviously there is an answer, but all the financial writers seem to be keeping that close to their chest like some super secret key to the elite kingdom.
